Tom Merkel’s Car Garden – Cuyama, California

Took an adventure out to Tom Merkel's Car Garden to see his ongoing art installation, "The Lost Highway".  It is an amazing place!  A timeline of cars, trucks and odd contraptions all given a final resting place in the middle of nowhere... Cyanotype prints at Washington Elementary School

My husband, artist Barry Dwayne Hollis, just successfully concluded a Great Works of Art program at Washington Elementary School.  The kids learned about the artist May Ray, and made photograms in the style of Man Ray's "Rayographs".  Check out my photo essay on it-
